Policy Compliance Checklist for Google Ad Manager Publishers
Published by H&T GAMING · · 2 min read

Policy problems rarely appear overnight. They build up through small decisions: an extra ad unit here, a cheap traffic campaign there. This checklist helps you catch them early.
Why accounts get closed
Google's policy on publisher restrictions lists the main reasons Ad Manager accounts are disabled:
- Artificial impressions or clicks from bots or deceptive software
- Incentivized traffic such as paid-to-click or autosurf services
- Manipulating ad serving or targeting to boost revenue
- Asking users to click or refresh ads, including offering rewards
- Deceptive placement, such as ads styled like navigation or placed to cause accidental clicks
Monthly compliance checklist
Content
- No pages built mainly to show ads with little original value
- No copied or auto-generated content in bulk
- Sensitive topics handled in line with the AdSense Program Policies
Ad placement
- Ads clearly separated from menus, buttons and download links
- No ads in pop-ups, under overlays or hidden from view
- Ad density lower than content on mobile pages
Traffic
- Every paid source documented
- No sudden, unexplained spikes from one country or referrer, which is the kind of pattern covered in Google's invalid traffic policy
Technical
- Refreshing inventory declared in Ad Manager
- ads.txt current
- Policy center checked and every issue resolved or appealed
Made-for-advertising sites
H&T GAMING states that it does not accept made-for-advertising (MFA) sites, deceptive layouts or invalid click activity in its network. If your site relies on heavy ad density, slideshow pagination or arbitrage traffic, expect a review to flag it.
Use the Policy center
Ad Manager's Policy center shows issues at site, page and app level. Google's guidance on the Policy center explains how to fix each issue and request a review afterwards. Make checking it part of your weekly routine.
The H&T GAMING angle
In MCM, the parent network is accountable to Google for the publishers it manages. That is why compliance comes before revenue optimization in every onboarding conversation, as we explain on our about page.
If you would rather have a second set of eyes on your policy risk before it becomes an account problem, you can request a free account review and we will walk through what we find.
